Hull no. 050 was a
California boat until the early 1990's when it was purchased by
a gentleman from Hot Springs, Arkansas. Following some minor
bottom work, hull no. 050 spent several years on Lake Hamilton
in a slip next to Silver Arrow 012. In 2004 Silver Arrow
050 was sold to a gentlemen from Miami, Florida who used the boat
regularly for several years until deciding to begin a
restoration on the boat.
The restoration of Silver
Arrow 050 began in 2009 as the Miami owner had the hull sides and decks prepped
for new paint, the engine rebuilt and all upholstered pieces
reupholstered before deciding to offer the boat
for sale.
Silver Arrow 050 was
purchased and transported to Pittsburgh in March 2011 where a survey of the
hull and parts was completed. After removing all debris
from the boat it was placed in storage until early 2012 when the
resumed the restoration.
Silver Arrow 050
was launched in March 2017 for the Sunnyland ACBS
Festival on Lake Dora and has received numerous awards
including Best in Class at the 53rd Annual Antique Boat
Show & Auction, Antique Boat Museum, Clayton, NY in
August 2017.
